Genre of Divertissement is a rare occasion in bayan literature. This selection comprises two divertissements by Yu. Ashchepkov. The first one has much in common with the music of French clavesinists G-F. Ramo and R. Kouperin), what is demonstrated in the names of it's parts: Minuet, Aria, Rigodon. Divertissement N°2 reminds a Slavic landscape and Russian or Polish pastoral. This is an exuberant, delicious music which requires impeccable taste and professional skills of the performer.
