Galchansky Vladimir Vasilyevich was born in 1949 in the town of Krasnoturjinsk,
Sverdlovsk region. He finished a musical school and a musical college in Zaporizzhya.
Then he studied at the Saratov State Conservatory named after L.V. Sobinov and graduated
from it in 1975 in the class of button accordion.
More than 30 years Vladimir Vasilyevich dedicated to teaching and composing music.
His graduates followed to their higher musical education and often won in musical
competitions.
V.V. Galchansky is widely known as the author of music for symphony orchestra, orchestra
of Russian folk instruments, teacher's repertoire pieces, virtuoso reworks for button
accordion, arrangements for two pianos, works for voice and piano and various bands
of instruments. His works were published by "Musical Ukraine", "Arts" (Kyiv, Ukraine),
"The World Of Notes" (Kurgan, Russia). A number of his works were included into
the concert repertoire of Mr. V.V. Besfamilnov, a distinguished musician of Ukraine,
professor of The National Musical Academy of Ukraine, winner of many international
competitions with whom the author is connected by a long lasting creative friendship.
Works by Mr. V.V. Galchansky are included in the repertoire of modern players and
orchestras of folk instruments in the cities of Ukraine, Russia and other nearest
neighboring countries.
